Mary started fundraising for the Cancer Council’s 'Biggest Morning Tea' in 2007 when a close friend was diagnosed with breast cancer. In 16 years she has raised over $100,000 hosting Balls, paella lunches and high teas.

Cancer Council NSW is leading the way towards a cancer free future. Every year in NSW alone, over 53,000 people will hear the words “you have cancer”.

Every day, Cancer Council NSW; reduces cancer risk through prevention and early intervention, improves cancer survival through world-class research, enhances the quality of life of people affected by cancer through transformative information and support, improves equity in cancer outcomes through bold advocacy.

JPS has been a regular donor to the Royal Flying Doctor Service for the past 20 years. Our founder, Julian Snr had a property on the Hawkesbury and the RFDS would have been a vital asset should an emergency have arisen considering his property was via boat access only.

The RFDS is a national, charitable health organisation delivering primary healthcare and 24 hour emergency services to those that live in rural and remote Australia.

Having an Aunt suffering from Dementia for the last 10 years and seeing her slow decline meant we needed to support research into this debilitating and cruel disease. Julian, an avid cyclist has ridden from Bondi to Berry numerous times and JPS has sponsored the ride for the past 2 years. We look forward to sponsoring the Bondi to Byron ride in 2025.

Dementia Australia is the national peak body supporting people living with Dementia, their families and carers. More than 421,000 Australians live with dementia, and more than 1.6 million people are involved in their care. Dementia is the second leading cause of death in Australia.

JPS has sponsored the Canberra to Jindabyne charity cycle for the past 8 years with Julian participating in numerous events.

Established in 1962, Hartley Lifecare is a Canberra-based not-for-profit organisation providing supported accommodation for people with disability, their families and carers.

Bicycle NSW are an advocacy group for cyclists. Julian has participated in two Melbourne to Sydney bike rides where money was allocated to Bicycle NSW.

Bicycle NSW's objective is: 'Creating a better environment for all bicycle riders'.

Bicycle NSW seeks to bring about a change in the cultural and behavioural stance in support of mainstream bicycle use. Bicycle NSW also advocates for improvements to the built environment to allow a bicycle to be used as a viable and safe transport option.

In 2019 Julian and Mary participated in the Melbourne to Sydney Charity ride. Orange Sky was one of the organisations we raised money for. Orange Sky came along as support crew, and they were amazing.

Orange Sky provide a platform for everyday Australians to connect through a regular laundry and shower service. The focus is on creating a safe, positive and supportive environment for people who are too often ignored or who feel disconnected from the community. Their volunteers are not social works or experts on homelessness but are empathetic listeners and great conversationalists.

JPS sponsored one of the riders competing in the Finke Desert Race in 2023.

Finke Desert Race is Australia’s biggest desert race and is a two day race through desert country. The race crosses the Finke River, believed to be the oldest river in the world.

JPS has supported Giant Steps for the past two years.

Giant Steps was established to bring the world’s best practice in education and support to children with autism to Australia. Their schools provide a transdisciplinary approach to education combining music, occupational and speech therapy, while their Adult Autism Service provides adults with a relevant and engaging learning and recreational post school environment.
